People like….Mal Sutcliffe
Mal started working in Forres washing carrots and is now a Line Supervisor. He is responsible for the wash lines, which means a 6am start - filling water tanks, organising boxes and checking the wash line equipment before the staff come in at 7am to start work.
When the lines are running Mal makes sure they are not running too fast... or too slow! The vegetables are subject to Quality Assurance (QA) tests every hour to make sure they are up to the high standards required. Mal and the team carry out regular checks to make sure all vegetables going through the wash process meet the QA standards.
In his spare time Mal enjoys socialising with colleagues at the charity events and has recently taken up running again - having previously completed two full and three half marathons.
He also has a ‘Real Deal’ passion for wheeling and dealing in Wedgewood on-EBay – Mal is TIO’s very own version of David Dickenson ...
