Harvest Time and Full Speed Ahead
Harvest time is here and the fields are a hive of activity removing the foliage, lifting the crops, grading the carrots and filtering out the soil before being taken off for washing, grading and packaging at the factory in Forres.
The carrots are riddled to remove as much of the soil, stones and small carrots as possible before being loaded into the bulker to be taken to Forres.
In other fields the bunched carrots are also being harvested. These are pulled, washed, bunched using bands all by hand !!
