Tio Good Causes Totaliser
When produce doesn’t meet the high standards set for pre-packaged product, it is still put to good use and is not wasted. We bag it up and sell it as animal feed with all proceeds going to charities and good causes nominated by our staff. To date we have raised (drum roll please…..)

TIO supports the Highland Hospice. - April 2011
TIO are helping the Highland Hospice with a unique fundraising and food package. The fundraising campaign will light up the journey for travellers on the A96 who will see iconic sunflowers planted alongside a field on the Inverness to Aberdeen route. Banners and signs will be put up alongside the sunflowers which is the symbol linked to Highland Hospice. The aim of the campaign is to help raise awareness of the work of the Highland Hospice and encourage people to donate.
TIO have also agreed to donate a weekly supply of fresh organic vegetables to use in the kitchen, the vegetables will be delivered free by the Williamson Group. The vegetables including carrots, swede, parsnips and potatoes will help provide a variety of seasonal organic fresh vegetable for patients at the Hospice.
A big month on the charity donations front - July 2010
In an effort to help improve the local environment TIO sponsored some of the flower displays in Forres for Britain in Bloom and have added a magnifcent splash of colour at the factory too with a couple of flower tubs at the entrance as well as providing flower tubs for Forres High Street.
CLIC Sargent (Tesco's charity of the year)
TIO donated £300 to Richard Brasher and the Tesco comercial directors team who are trying to raise £250,000 for the Tesco charity of the year, CLIC Sargent . The team of 7 intend to cycle form John 'o' Groats to Lands end in just 72 hours! for the charity. Good luck!
They also donated £100 to Geoffrey Hunter, Technical manager for Tesco, who is aslo raising money for the charity. In April he will be travelling to Peru for 10 days with charity challenge to undertake a trek from the ancient Inca capital city of Cusco to the rarely visited Lares Valley, where he will eventually finish his trek of 8 hrs/day at the ancient Inca ruins of Machu Picchu.
CLIC Sargent is a charity that focuses on caring for children and young people with cancer providing support for them and for their families.
Forres Community Association
Forres Community Activities Association received £358.60 to help them with the hub which provides tangible support in the area as well as providing a networking service and moral support for volunteer organisations.
Pakistan Flooding disaster shelterbox
TIO have responded to the Pakistan flooding appeal by donating an additional shelterbox to assist those made homeless in the disaster.
The shelter boxes contain tents, fuel, water purification tablets, basic cooking utensils, tool box and crayons/books for kids.
