We are This Is Organics. Our friends call us Tio. Our company has been around since March 1998, when we all got together to market organic vegetables
We were amongst the very first to convert to organic production and we just missed out on the coolest licence number by a whisker or two – we got number 009! We believe business should be conducted sincerely, truthfully and completely transparently for the benefit of everyone – owners, employees, customers and end users.
On our farms, we grow lots of yummy organic stuff including carrots, swede, parsnips and barley as well as other produce. .
Did you know (and if you did, how?)…..
…our barley is being used to make organic whisky? Unfortunately, the first dram won’t be ready till 2010 but it’s going to be well worth waiting for.
…we sponsor the ‘Forres Mechanics’, our local footie team?
…we put together any produce that doesn’t make the grade into £3 bags and sell them, giving all money (and keeping a Blue Peter style totaliser) to local and national charities chosen by our staff?
…we rotate stock on our fields, that includes cattle and sheep, to help with the fertility of the soil
